The microprocessor controlled Solvent Saver System is a solvent recycler specifically suited to both LC and HPLC. It uses a sensitive level sensing circuit to shunt the eluant to waste whenever the output from the system detector exceeds a user set level. After the contaminant (normally a component of your sample) has passed and the output from the system detector drops below the programmed level, the uncontaminated solvent will be returned to the solvent reservoir to be used again.
Solvent recyclers, like the S3, are used to save both money and the environment. They save money by reducing both your solvent disposal costs and your solvent purchases. They save the environment by reducing the amount of waste (both hazardous and non-hazardous) which is produced in the laboratory.
The Solvent Saver comes complete with the control console, valve, a signal cable, and fittings for 1/16" OD and 1/8" OD tubing.
The programmed level may be positive only (for use with unipolar detectors like UV absorbance monitors) or both positive and negative (for use with bipolar detectors like RI monitors). The Solvent Saver can handle up to a 50% overrange and continuously displays its status and the signal level. The recycle valve can also be set manually or by remote control to remain in either the recycle or waste position. A Q.A. validation signal continuously indicates the valve's position.
Order as part number 142100 for use in the US (operates on 115V, $1390.00) or part number 142102 for use in Europe (operates on 230V, $1390.00, CE marked).
