Spectra/Chrom® Flow Rate Controller

The Spectra/Chrom Flow Rate Controller provides pulseless microprocessor control of unattended elutions requiring low flow rates. It eliminates time consuming calibration procedures as well as the damaging pulsing action caused by peristaltic pumps.

Simple hydrostatic pressure (gravity) is used as the driving force and the flow is regulated with an electronic pinch valve controlled by 3 optical detectors. These detectors measure the volume of each drop which falls through the flow cell and prevent the controller from running dry. This allows the controller to operate independently of fluid color and viscosity. The fluid path is not suitable for use with organic solvents.

The usable flow rate range is from 5 to 399 ml/hr. The total volume per run can be set from 1 to 9999 ml. The flow rate controller is powered by rechargeable batteries (both the batteries and charger are included).
