Fittings
To accompany line of aqueous
and organic chromatography columns, Spectrum also
manufactures a variety of Teflon® fittings. These fittings fall into
2 groups, those that screw into column endplates and
those that connect only tubing.
The fittings that screw into columns include:
- On/Off valves that can be used for stopping the flow through
a column and are useful for storage.
- Metering valves that can be used to control the rate of
flow through a column.
- Multi-Port valves that can be used to mixing and flow or
outlet selection.
- Inlet/Outlet fittings that are used to connect tubing to the
inlet and outlet of the columns
- Special fittings that are used to connect secondary inlet or
outlet tubing to a column.

The fittings that connect only tubing include:
- On/Off valves

- Unions that are used to connect 2 pieces of tubing (either 2
of the same size or 2 different sizes).
